The following article will help macOS 10.13 users with driver-related issues with various CalDigit Products.
Certain devices, including Lenovo’s Thunderbolt 3 dock, may experience functionality issues with active cables (such as our 1 and 2 meter). Please use passive cables instead.
Mac OSX may create an extra 200 MB EFI partitions at the start of a drive hence you may see this EFI partition in Windows. The Windows Disk Management tool can’t delete these EFI partitions, and you’ll see the “Delete Volume” option grayed out. This article describes how you can clean these partitions in DOS command mode and re-format your CalDigit drive.
Most Thunderbolt 3 Windows computers from year 2015 and early 2016 require Thunderbolt firmware, BIOS and GPU drivers software updates before the Thunderbolt 3 port can work properly.
If, every time when the computer restarts the sound output and input defaults may be back to your built-in speakers, there a way to set a CalDigit dock as your default audio output / input device.
Thunderbolt Station and Thunderbolt Station 2 are fully compatible with the headphones, for example, iPhone’s or Samsung’s.
If you are connecting from DisplayPort to HDMI/VGA/DVI, please make sure to use an active adapter. Otherwise, please check your cable and make sure that it is using DP 1.2 or higher.
MacOS does not currently support MST, and will be able to mirror monitors at best. If you are experiencing problems on Windows, please make sure that you are using DP 1.2 cables and monitors.
