REMOVABLE CABLE & CARRYING CASE

The Tuff nano’s outer packaging doubles as a carrying case to store the drive, and its cables, while traveling. By implementing a removable cable design we have been able to achieve a more compact product whilst generating less heat than drives with tethered cables. For productions using multiple Tuff nano drives this provides a more convenient way to keep your drives organized.

IMMERSION PROTECTION

Tuff nano users can rest assured that not even 1M of water can harm your drive! The whole device can be fully immersed in water up to 1M for 30 minutes.

DUST TIGHT

The Tuff nano’s IP67 certification means that the device is dust tight. Not even small dust particles can enter the device.

DROP PROOF

Dropping electronic devices can happen to all of us at any time. The Tuff nano has passed Military Testing from heights of up to 3M in order to protect your data from any shocks.

BLAZING FAST BACK-UP & 4K EDITING ON-THE-GO

Pro Photographers can back-up their uncompressed RAW files faster than ever with a drive half the size of their smartphone. In addition, filmmakers can even edit their 4K footage right off their back-up drive without the need for a powerful RAID.

BOOTABLE

Need to boot your OS from a compact external drive? Use the Tuff nano to boot your Mac or Windows OS.

A MUST-HAVE FOR ANY PHOTOGRAPHER’S TRAVEL BAG

If you’re traveling, you know the hassle of carrying around heavy hard drives with slow transfer speeds. The Tuff nano promises to become the go-to item in any Photographer’s travel bag by providing transfer speeds up to 1055MB/s, saving you time and money.

IPAD PRO COMPATIBLE

Thanks to the iPad Pro’s use of the USB-C connector, the Tuff nano can be used to connect to the iPad Pro in order to access files. This is great for Photographers that need to check their images on the iPad Pro’s high-res display.*

*iPad Pro external drive support available using iPadOS.

ADVANCED POWER MANAGEMENT

With an emphasis on the environmental aspects, the CalDigit storage team developed a power management mechanism that monitors the traffic for both the internal NVMe SSD as well as the storage controller. During the system idle time, the Tuff nano will stay in low power mode consuming much less power and prolonging the internal SSD, components as well as your laptop’s battery life. This greatly reduces power consumption and is especially important when battery life is critical. Benefit from a high-end server-level PCIe SSD, that fits right in the palm of your hand!
