No, the Element 5 Hub, TS5, and TS5 Plus do not work with the legacy Thunderbolt 1 or Thunderbolt 2 Mac. Apple’s Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter (MMEL2AM) does not support Thunderbolt 5 devices such as the Element 5 Hub, TS5, and TS5 Plus.
