Erogazione di potenza da 140W
Il TS5 fornisce fino a 140W di potenza anche per i laptop più esigenti. Questo lo rende ideale per laptop come il MacBook Pro da 16″ con chip M4 Pro o M4 Max, che richiedono 140W.
Mentre molti altri dock Thunderbolt 5 dichiarano di poter caricare fino a una certa potenza, in realtà includono un alimentatore insufficiente. Questi dock distribuiscono l’alimentazione all’host in base al numero di dispositivi collegati. Parte dell’alimentazione dell’host verrà trasferita ai nuovi dispositivi collegati, riducendo così l’erogazione di potenza.
Siate certi che l’alimentatore del CalDigit TS5 fornirà sempre la piena potenza di 140W e non diminuirà mai le prestazioni, anche quando si collegano nuovi dispositivi al TS5.
Per laptop o tablet che richiedono meno di 140W, il TS5 fornirà solo la potenza richiesta dal dispositivo.

Il TS5 è dotato di quattro porte Thunderbolt 5 bidirezionali da 80Gb/s, che offrono prestazioni doppie rispetto al Thunderbolt 4.
Le prestazioni PCIe delle porte Thunderbolt sono state raddoppiate rispetto alla generazione precedente, passando allo standard PCIe 4.0 a 64Gb/s. Monitor singolo
Se desideri aggiungere un singolo monitor al TS5, puoi collegarlo a una delle porte Thunderbolt 5 disponibili. Se desideri collegare un monitor HDMI, puoi utilizzare un adattatore da USB-C a HDMI ***.
Doppi monitor
- Gli utenti macOS sui modelli base M4, M1/M2/M3/M4 Pro, M1/M2/M3/M4 Max, M1/M2/M3 Ultra o Mac basati su Intel possono collegare fino a due display.
- M1/M2/M3 based Macs are limited to 1 external monitor by design via their Thunderbolt ports.

Aumento della larghezza di banda
Collegando monitor ad alta intensità di banda al TS5, verrà abilitato il Bandwidth Boost per dare priorità ai display e fornire prestazioni fino a 120Gb/s. In questo modo, i 40Gb/s rimarranno disponibili per il resto del dock.
Il vantaggio principale è che sarà possibile collegare al TS5 display con una frequenza di aggiornamento più elevata, nonché tre display 4K a 144Hz.

Thunderbolt 5 consente di collegare 3 monitor esterni a un computer host Windows Thunderbolt 5 che lo supporti. Collega tre monitor alle porte Thunderbolt 5 downstream*.
*Per visualizzare tre display è necessario un PC Windows Thunderbolt 5 compatibile. I Mac Apple M4 non supportano tre display tramite una singola connessione host Thunderbolt 5. I computer host Windows o Mac Thunderbolt 4 non supportano tre display.
Ethernet da 2.5 Gigabit
Il TS5 è dotato di una porta Ethernet da 2.5 Gigabit per prestazioni eccezionali.*
La porta 2.5 GbE è 2.5 volte più veloce della tradizionale Gigabit Ethernet e sta diventando il nuovo standard per router, switch e dispositivi NAS.*
Naturalmente, è possibile utilizzare la porta 2.5 GbE del TS5 con i tradizionali dispositivi Ethernet da 1GbE.
