TS5 提供高達 140W 的電力輸送，足以滿足最嚴苛的筆記型電腦需求。這使其成為 16 吋 MacBook Pro（搭載 M4 Pro 或 M4 Max 晶片）等需 140W 電力的筆電的理想選擇。
許多其他 Thunderbolt 5 擴充基座聲稱可達特定功率輸出，但實際上，它們的電源供應可能不足。這些擴充基座會根據連接的設備數量分配主機電力。一旦新設備連接，部分主機電力會被轉移，導致電力輸送減少。

A new feature of Thunderbolt 5 is called Bandwidth Boost, and it allows the TS5 to allocate more performance when you connect bandwidth intensive displays to the dock, such as high-refresh rate displays, or multiple high-resolution displays. It will allocate up to 120Gb/s to the displays, and leave 40Gb/s for the rest of the dock.
