Does the Element Hub work on a legacy Thunderbolt 1 or Thunderbolt 2 Mac computer?

Yes. Element Hub works on the legacy Thunderbolt 1 or 2 macOS computers. Apple’s Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter (MMEL2AM/A), legacy Thunderbolt cable, and macOS 11.0 Big Sur or above are required.

Update
We observed the best compatible macOS version to support the use of this product is 11.2. Anything above that may cause Element Hub not working properly, as exemplified in the lack of support under macOS 11.4.

As a result, we do not suggest using the Element Hub with a Legacy macOS computer unless you are specifically using macOS 11.2.
