REMOVABLE CABLE & CARRYING CASE

The Tuff nano and Tuff nano Plus’ outer packaging doubles as a carrying case to store the drives, and its cables, while traveling. By implementing a removable cable design we have been able to achieve a more compact product whilst generating less heat than drives with tethered cables. For productions using multiple drives this provides a more convenient way to keep them organized.

IMMERSION PROTECTION

Tuff nano or Tuff nano Plus users can rest assured that not even 1M of water can harm your drives! Both devices can be fully immersed in water up to 1M for 30 minutes.

DUST TIGHT

The Tuff nano and Tuff nano Plus’ IP67 certification means that both products are dust tight. Not even small dust particles can enter.

DROP PROOF

Dropping electronic devices can happen to all of us at any time. The Tuff nano and Tuff nano Plus have passed Military Testing from heights of up to 3M in order to protect your data from any shocks.

BLAZING FAST BACK-UP & 4K EDITING ON-THE-GO

Pro Photographers can back-up their uncompressed RAW files faster than ever with a drive that can fit in their bag or pocket. In addition, filmmakers can even edit their 4K footage right off their back-up drive without the need for a powerful RAID.

BOOTABLE

Need to boot your OS from a compact external drive? Use the Tuff nano or the Tuff nano Plus to boot your Mac or Windows OS.

A MUST-HAVE FOR ANY PHOTOGRAPHER’S TRAVEL BAG

If you’re traveling, you know the hassle of carrying around heavy hard drives with slow transfer speeds. The Tuff nano and Tuff nano Plus promise to become the go-to items in any Photographer’s travel bag by providing incredibly fast transfer speeds, saving you time and money.

IPAD PRO & IPAD AIR (4TH GEN) COMPATIBLE

Thanks to the iPad Pro’s use of the USB-C connector, the Tuff nano and Tuff nano Plus can be used to connect to the iPad Pro in order to access files. This is great for Photographers that need to check their images on the iPad Pro’s high-res display.*

*iPad Pro & iPad Air (4th Gen) external drive support available using iPadOS.

ADVANCED POWER MANAGEMENT

With an emphasis on the environmental aspects, the CalDigit storage team developed a power management mechanism that monitors the traffic for both the internal NVMe SSD as well as the storage controller. When idle, the Tuff nano or Tuff nano Plus will stay in low power mode consuming much less power and prolonging the internal SSDs components as well as your laptop’s battery life. This greatly reduces power consumption and is especially important when battery life is critical.
