Apple’s MacBook Air has quickly become the most popular laptop in the Apple space. However, it is without its shortcomings.
The new M4 MacBook Air addresses the number one concern that CalDigit has witnessed with customers.
“Will the CalDigit give me dual external displays?”
Our support team has had to educate customers that our docks cannot provide specs beyond Apple’s silicon, but our answer will be different with the new M4 MacBook Air.
The latest MacBook Air finally provides dual external displays. This isn’t reserved for higher-end specs either, this feature begins at the $999 entry level.
Kudos to Apple for giving users what they have wanted for so long. We suggest pairing this with our SoHo for those on a budget. You get both HDMI and DisplayPort for dual display, and access to USB Type-A, UHS-II card reader, and MicroSD card reader. Those who want to supercharge their new M4 MacBook Air should look at the price-conscious TS3 Plus. In addition to the 18 ports of connectivity, the TS3 Plus is incredibly stable and a workhorse in any environment.
At $100 less than the previous entry MacBook Air, we believe this is a worthwhile upgrade when you consider the improved performance, more RAM, and the promise of dual external display. Finally, since the new MacBook Air still uses Thunderbolt 4 ports, there really isn’t a need to hop on the waitlist for the Element 5.
