Thunderbolt™ Station 3 - Charging & Expanding Thunderbolt™ 3 Workflows
The implementation of Thunderbolt™ 3 has allowed docking solutions to not only expand connectivity and reclaim ports, but also power and charge laptops. A single cable charges and expands.

“The unprecedented power of Thunderbolt™ 3 has made it possible for a docking solution to charge a Mac and PC with ease and simplicity. In addition, users can connect up to dual 4K extended monitors, USB devices and Gigabit Ethernet, for the ultimate streamlined experience”, said Kosta Panagos, Marketing Executive at CalDigit.

Multiple Connectivity Options
The TS3 allows users to easily connect all their existing devices in addition to daisy-chaining Thunderbolt™ 3 devices. Featuring three USB 3.1 Type-A ports, dual 6G eSATA ports, Gigabit Ethernet, DisplayPort, Audio In/Out and dual Thunderbolt™ 3 ports, the TS3 has all the bases covered when it comes to port expansion.

Dual 4K Monitors or Single 5K Monitor
The implementation of DisplayPort for the output of choice means that users have the option of connecting to any display they want. A DisplayPort to HDMI cable for example will allow users to connect to a HDMI monitor. If you have HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort or mDP monitor you can connect to the TS3’s DisplayPort connector.

The TS3 is also capable of connecting either two HD monitors or two 4K monitors to your laptop through the dock. One monitor would connect to the DisplayPort connector and one to the spare Thunderbolt™ 3 port through the use of a USB-C video adapter. Alternatively, users have the option of connecting a single 5K monitor through the spare Thunderbolt™ 3 port.

85W Charging
The implementation of 85W charging means that the attached laptop will charge incredibly fast and is on a par with many factory laptop chargers. No longer do you have to connect your laptop’s charger plus your Thunderbolt™ cable to your laptop. One cable will do both.

Mac & PC*
Many Thunderbolt™ 3 docks are only Mac compatible. The TS3 works with both platforms. PC users will also benefit from the TS3’s functionality including laptop charging.

Stand Alone Charging
Even when the TS3 is not powering your laptop you can use it to charge USB devices if your laptop is somewhere else. This means that users can charge their iPhones or iPads even when the dock is not in use, expanding its functionality.
