The 4K monitor works properly when connected to a Thunderbolt 3 port but is flickering or blacked out when connected to the DisplayPort interface on the back of TS3/TS3 Lite.

Products Affected:   TS3 Lite - Thunderbolt Station 3 Lite, TS3 - Thunderbolt Station 3

CalDigit Thunderbolt Station 3 (TS3) and Lite (TS3 Lite) are capable of outputting 4K video through the DisplayPort on the back, but the actual frequency (Hz) may vary. Certain monitors may be limited to 4K@30Hz when connecting through DisplayPort interface.
These monitors include but are not limited to the following models:

Asus PB287Q
Dell P2715Q, S2817Q, P2415Q
LG 31MU97C-B, 24UD58-B
Philips 288P6LJE
Viewsonic VX2475SMHL-4K

If you are unable to output 4K@60Hz video, please try the followings:

1. Disable DP 1.2 support using your monitorís menu, which will set the display to 4K@30Hz

Some Dell 4K monitors can be switched to DP 1.1 mode by following the steps described in the "Confirm the DisplayPort (DP) configuration of the display." section.

2. Connect the monitor using a high quality DisplayPort cable that is 1 meter or shorter.
3. Connect the monitor to the Thunderbolt 3 port using a USB-C to DisplayPort or USB-C to HDMI dongle for 4K@60hz.

4. If none of above solutions works for you and you still have difficulty to output 4K@60Hz, please contact
