How to reset NVRAM on your Mac?

1. The following steps shows the NVRAM resetting for your Macs which includes non-Thunderbolt, and Thunderbolt 1, 2 Macs.

A.Shut down your Mac.
B. Find Command (⌘), Option, P, and R on your keyboard.
C. Turn on your Mac.
D. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you hear the startup sound.
E. Hold these keys until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time.
F. Repeat D and E until you hear the 4th startup sound then release the keys.

2. The following steps shows the NVRAM resetting for your Thunderbolt 3 Macs which includes late-2016 MacBook Pro models.

A.Shut down your Mac.
B.Find Command (⌘), Option, P, and R on your keyboard.
C.Turn on your Mac.
D.Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you turn on your Mac.
E.Hold these keys down for at least 60 seconds to ensure that your Mac completes the process correctly. You will not hear any startup sound during this process and the Mac's monitor will show nothing on the screen.
F. Release the keys.

After resetting NVRAM, you might need to reconfigure settings for speaker volume, screen resolution, startup disk selection, and time zone information.
